From SQL setup CD. Generate the Discovery report through the command line.
from a command promt run “Setup.exe /Action=RunDiscovery”
The SQL Server Discovery Report is saved to
%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\
